Out of Stanfield, in Stanly County
We work out of Barbee Road in Stanfield, so most of the doors we see sit a short run from the shop. Brick ranches with a single bay on the side. Newer builds in Union and Cabarrus counties with a double door facing the street. A shop door out past Albemarle where the nearest neighbor is a hay field. Now and then a gate at the end of a long gravel drive.
A garage door is the heaviest thing that moves on a house, and nearly all that weight hangs on the springs above the opening, not on the opener. When a spring lets go, and it usually happens on a cold morning when the metal has drawn up tight, the door turns heavy in an instant. Then the opener strains, or gives up. That's the call we take more than any other.
So we look at the whole door before quoting anything. Springs and cables, the rollers, whether the track still runs true, whether the door sits level in the opening. Sometimes it's one part and a short visit. Sometimes a door has been patched along for years and your money does more in a new one, and you'll hear that from us either way.

Old door out new door in
Old panels come down, the springs get sized to the weight of the new door, and nothing gets called finished until it's balanced.

Why people call us back
Rated 4.9 from 37 Google reviews
Thirty six of those are five stars. We claimed the listing ourselves, so what you read there is what people actually wrote.
Stanfield based, not a call center
The shop sits on Barbee Road. Call about a door in Midland or Albemarle and you're talking to the outfit that'll be standing in your driveway.
Workmanship is what reviewers mention
The thing people write about most is how the work got done, closely followed by how the finished door looks from the road. Both come out of the hardware nobody sees.
Springs and cables handled properly
A torsion spring carries the weight of the whole door under tension. It's the one part on a garage door that puts people in the emergency room, and it isn't a job for a socket set and a video.
The door is the front of your house
On most homes around here the garage door is the biggest thing you see from the street. Panel style matters as much as the track behind it.
Free estimate with the options laid out
We measure, look at what you've got, then put a price against each choice that fits. No charge for coming out to look.
How a job actually runs
Tell us where you are and what the door is doing, or has stopped doing.
We check the balance of the door and the state of the springs and cables before anybody talks about money.
You get the repair price and, where it makes sense, the replacement price, with what each one actually fixes.
We fit the parts or hang the new door, balance it, set the opener travel, then run it while you watch.

I really can’t say enough good things about Ricky, his tech and Entrance Masters. When our residential gate stopped working I called them for a quote. Ricky was extremely responsive (even though he was out of town). He quickly scheduled his tech to come out and within a couple of hours he had our gate working again. He also replaced sensors on a garage door that had not been working properly for a couple of years. Once Ricky was back in town he scheduled to come back and button up a couple of loose ends and bring us some much needed clickers (we were all sharing 2) for the gate. Fantastic experience, excellent communication, skilled workmanship, extremely reasonable pricing, will definitely recommend. Entrance Masters for the WIN!!
I have been using Entrance Masters for almost 2 years, and from the first encounter the service has been absolutely fantastic. I had been having the worst issues with my garage since the recent purchase of my home, and they have been there every step of the way working to try to figure out the issue. Ricky tried every cost effective option he could before just saying you need to replace the motor, which most companies would not have. The motor was replaced a week ago along with some other updates and my garage closes and opens as it should and it is so smooth and quiet now. This company is the best and will always be my go to for anything concerning my garage!
Our garage door looks amazing and Ricky provided top notch customer service. First he was willing to communicate via calls, text and email. This it’s self is huge. So many companies today want you calling the office and email only which slows production/communication. Next he really laid out all the options and explained them in great detail. Once we narrowed down two Ricky went above and beyond really going over pros and cons of both. The install went quick and on time just as he stated. A few days after install he shoots me a text to confirm we’re happy and asked again if we needed anything else. Support you local business owner and give him a try.
Absolutely wonderful company! Ricky was extremely quick in getting back to us with a quote for our garage door and was also competitive in his pricing. He was helpful in finding options for us based on our budget. Once the garage door arrived after being ordered, he was quick to get in touch with us and to install it. Our garage door is beautiful and gives our house so much added personality. We would definitely recommend him and his company to others looking to replace/put in a new garage door or also for routine maintenance!
Tim Johnson repaired our garage door today. He went directly to the problem and fixed it. Then, he serviced moveable parts with lubricant. During all of this he talked with my wife and I explaining the various aspects of good garage door maintenance. His service was beyond expectations. (We have been caught before with service people and it makes you wary). Tim Johnson spoke highly of his boss and it means that we are going to mention Entrance Masters to all our neighbors. It was a very good experience. Thank you, Tim.
We interviewed two garage door companies...the prices were very close however we chose Entrance Masters Garage Door and Gate Co. after reading great reviews and was important that they are local. We had many questions and they kindly and quickly responded. Also the delivery was on time and install quick. We have planned for a garage door for 20+ years and they helped us make our dream come true..They are wonderful folks to work with and I highly recommend......Sharon and Steve T.
Free estimate on the door or the gate
Almost always a torsion spring. It sits wound tight on a bar above the doorway and carries the weight of the whole door, so once it snaps the door is dead weight on the track. Do not keep pressing the wall button to force it up, because burning out a motor on top of a broken spring turns one repair into two.
No. The estimate is free, and we'd rather measure the opening in person than guess at it on the phone. Openings around Stanly County aren't all builder standard, and older brick ranches throw up odd widths and low headroom all the time.
Depends what's wrong with it. Springs, cables, rollers and openers are all worth replacing on a door that's otherwise sound. Once the bottom panels have rusted through, or the door got hit hard enough to twist the track, your money does more in a new one, and you'll hear which side of that line you're on.
Yes. Gate automation and repair is half of what the name is about. Operators, safety loops in the drive, keypads at the road, and clickers that quit talking to the gate.
Usually, and usually the opener isn't the culprit. Worn steel rollers and dry hinges make most of the racket, and a door that's drifted out of balance makes the motor pull hard every trip. Quiet operation shows up in our reviews because it's the first thing people notice once a door has been sorted out.
