The towns we cover
Stanfield sits in the middle of it, and we run out from there into Stanly, Cabarrus, Union and Mecklenburg counties.
Doors fail differently depending on where the house sits. Out on the county roads a detached shop door might get used twice a week, which sounds easy on it until you learn that a spring sitting still in a damp building rusts inside the coil and binds. In a subdivision the same door cycles four or five times a day and eats its rollers instead. Same product, same weather, two completely different repairs. That's why we'd rather come look than price it blind over the phone.
Stanfield, Midland and the county roads
Close to the shop it's farmhouses, brick ranches and a lot of detached garages that went up long after the house did. Those outbuildings carry the oldest hardware on the property, because nobody thinks about a shop door until the day it won't come up.
Humidity is the quiet problem out here. A building that isn't conditioned holds damp air all summer, and that moisture settles into the spring coils and the bearings. Rust doesn't announce itself. It just makes the door heavier and heavier until the spring gives up on a January morning with your truck sitting inside.
Concord, Kannapolis and the newer subdivisions
A whole street of houses that went up together got the same builder door, the same builder opener and the same steel rollers on the same day. So they wear out together too. Fix one grinding door on a street like that and we're often back on it before long.
Those doors are usually worth saving. Swap the steel rollers for nylon, get the balance right, and most of the noise goes away on a door the owner assumed needed replacing. If it faces west and the paint has chalked out across the panels, that's a different conversation about how it looks rather than how it works.
Union County, from Unionville to Matthews
Union County runs from working farmland to full subdivisions, sometimes on the same road, and the gate work follows that split. A gate at the end of a long gravel drive lives outside in everything the Piedmont throws at it, and every piece of it ages at its own rate, from the operator down to the loop buried in the drive.
When a gate stops responding, people assume the operator died. Often it's a dead battery in a clicker, or a keypad that took on water, or a loop somebody cut while trenching a line. We check the cheap things first. No sense selling you an operator when the fix costs a fraction of one.

I really can’t say enough good things about Ricky, his tech and Entrance Masters. When our residential gate stopped working I called them for a quote. Ricky was extremely responsive (even though he was out of town). He quickly scheduled his tech to come out and within a couple of hours he had our gate working again. He also replaced sensors on a garage door that had not been working properly for a couple of years. Once Ricky was back in town he scheduled to come back and button up a couple of loose ends and bring us some much needed clickers (we were all sharing 2) for the gate. Fantastic experience, excellent communication, skilled workmanship, extremely reasonable pricing, will definitely recommend. Entrance Masters for the WIN!!
I have been using Entrance Masters for almost 2 years, and from the first encounter the service has been absolutely fantastic. I had been having the worst issues with my garage since the recent purchase of my home, and they have been there every step of the way working to try to figure out the issue. Ricky tried every cost effective option he could before just saying you need to replace the motor, which most companies would not have. The motor was replaced a week ago along with some other updates and my garage closes and opens as it should and it is so smooth and quiet now. This company is the best and will always be my go to for anything concerning my garage!
Our garage door looks amazing and Ricky provided top notch customer service. First he was willing to communicate via calls, text and email. This it’s self is huge. So many companies today want you calling the office and email only which slows production/communication. Next he really laid out all the options and explained them in great detail. Once we narrowed down two Ricky went above and beyond really going over pros and cons of both. The install went quick and on time just as he stated. A few days after install he shoots me a text to confirm we’re happy and asked again if we needed anything else. Support you local business owner and give him a try.
Absolutely wonderful company! Ricky was extremely quick in getting back to us with a quote for our garage door and was also competitive in his pricing. He was helpful in finding options for us based on our budget. Once the garage door arrived after being ordered, he was quick to get in touch with us and to install it. Our garage door is beautiful and gives our house so much added personality. We would definitely recommend him and his company to others looking to replace/put in a new garage door or also for routine maintenance!
Tim Johnson repaired our garage door today. He went directly to the problem and fixed it. Then, he serviced moveable parts with lubricant. During all of this he talked with my wife and I explaining the various aspects of good garage door maintenance. His service was beyond expectations. (We have been caught before with service people and it makes you wary). Tim Johnson spoke highly of his boss and it means that we are going to mention Entrance Masters to all our neighbors. It was a very good experience. Thank you, Tim.
We interviewed two garage door companies...the prices were very close however we chose Entrance Masters Garage Door and Gate Co. after reading great reviews and was important that they are local. We had many questions and they kindly and quickly responded. Also the delivery was on time and install quick. We have planned for a garage door for 20+ years and they helped us make our dream come true..They are wonderful folks to work with and I highly recommend......Sharon and Steve T.
